I am looking to buy a Toyota Aurion but not sure about is towing ability. Although the engine has 200kw's of power it is only rated at 1600kg towing weight. Has anyone towed with anAurion and how did it go?

Depends what you want to tow.
With a 1600kg max you will be limited to a Camper Trailer or small Van.
Depending on the weight of the trailer (Van) and it's subsequent Ball Weight you will need to match a Weight Distribution Hitch to the actual Ball Weight to maintain correct traction (& braking) on the vehicles front wheels.
The towing weight specified is the maximum all up weight of the trailer with all it's accessories and your personal items including food etc and a full water tank. So Tare Weight of the trailer will probably need to be less than 1200 - 1300kg. Happy Vanning.
